The Boys Are HOME!

We picked the boys up on Friday after a long wait. After all the anticipation, it was hard to beleive they were now home. The acclimation period (which is still in progress) is going very well, with Hunter having little inhibition as he roams around the house. Peri on the other hand is still pretty darn shy, exuding confidence only only when big brother is around. And the boy talks incessantly!!!

Safe haven for the first few hours in our new home...

Hunter couldn't help but start exploring his new digs - Xmas trees are irresistible!

Cat trees are also magentic!

An hour into his stay, and he's already smitten with Averie!

Staking out his favorite sleeping spot...

The first day, Peri only came out when he saw Hunter out...anytime he was not in sight he howled, chattered and talked until Hunter returned. The most common photo of Peri...

...was not his best side!

Two more weeks!

Only two weeks until the little furballs arrive home. Sandwiched between a trip to Hawaii and Christmas, the excitement of their pending permanancy has been somewhat tempered...
Lisa and I have been doing alot of Bengal "research" over the last month, which has made us want them home even more - but at the same time we sometimes ask ourselves what we have gotten ourselves into! I figure if we can handle our two daughters, Hunter and Peri will be a snap!

A few more pictures from our visit last week:

Peri loves that feather...

A kitten possessed!

Hunter being attacked by a toy?!?!?

Smelling the enemy...

A visit with Hunter & Peri

The family packed into the car on Saturday for the winding drive to Sutter Creek. My daughter Averie gets car sick pretty easily, but she was willing to deal with it. We all were as this was our second visit with our new kittens...

We spent about an hour with Hunter and Peri and their three brothers and one sister. When we first walked in their wasn't a kitten to be found, but over the course of the next few minutes, kittens came crawling out of the woodwork (literally!). Once they got used to us, they all put on quite a show.

Peri captures his prey

Hunter isn't sure what to do with it!

Look at the glitter on this boy (clean ears too)!!

Hunter's whisker pads and tummy are fat!!
